Uncommon breads and wholesome treats

At the root of the Baking for Change project is a young girl making applesauce cakes for her brother while he was in the Navy. She learned to follow a recipe, measure ingredients, watch a cake carefully in the oven and check its doneness with a toothpick. She packed up each cake and mailed it to the most recent military address, never questioning that he would receive it while the cake was fresh.

 

That was the beginning of a lifetime of baking. An undeniable way of reaching out. Through baking we can say, "I am thinking of you."

 

BfC is a small, home-based business founded by Marshall Hallock. We make uncommon baked goods on a special order basis--and we deliver. While you might find our offerings to be limited in number, your order will always be freshly baked, just for you.
